Biography:

BA Hons degree, 2;1 Liverpool John Moores University, 1993-6. Poet/artist, published in underground press, e.g, Marymark Press, USA, Mandelbrot, Ozone!, and exhibited at Art in the Garden, Liverpool, 1999 and 2000, painted on the pavement at International Festival of Street Art, 2000, won 1st prize in SAA exhibition 2000 Aldershot for Manwoman, feat. in Merseyside Arts Magazine and The Liverpool echo for this, sold and received commissions for work including through the SAA. Work is on www.risingartist.com and my own site MSN Communities- type in Mad artwork.

Structured lively, engaging, intelligent and well planned assignments, organising study time, exploring territory of unearthing little known research and selecting modules ranging from 'Woman in Art' to 'Gothic Literature' for variety and to enhance my knowledge base.

Business Start Up Course- Business Link, Birkenhead, July '00.
Learned and enhanced business skills such as Profit and Loss accounting and advertising. Active contribution to the seminars.

4 A Levels, 10 GCSEs- The Oldershaw School, Wallasey, '91-3.
P.E and Practicals, English and Easels. Maths, Media Studies and modern languages. Textiles, tests and top marks. Included art/textile exhibition in '91 visited by the public/press.

Web presence displays a technological understanding of web applications; locating and targeting relevant outlets and artistic ability in having my work chosen. And it means that galleries abroad can exhibit my work which ensures that as many people get to see my work as is possible, and then some more.

1st prize award for 'Manwoman' in the experimental/abstract category, SAA 2000 Exhibition, May, Aldershot. Charles Evans, judge, pronounced it a 'really good example of experimental/abstract work'. Oil Set prize. Featured in their magazine, Paint, March '00. Sold cards to members/given advice.

Wirral Action, June -December 2000, Produced series of eccentric cartoons of the employees in acrylic, A3.

Literary Experience-

www.write-away.co.uk. Poetry site selected ‘The Dole Office’ and ‘Why do Sheep become jumpers for People’s Torsos?’ on line March 24 2001- Sue Tordoff, editor, said that my work was different and liked it.

Popart and Mandelbrot zines, from October 2000. Published poetry/art and also co-edited the latter with Sid Huxley from Essex. Marymark Press, USA. Collection of experimental surreal poems in broadsheet.
Published in 'Terrible Work', October '98 and November '99, experimental abstract dada style work including' Hovercraft', and Anchor Books, May '98, 'The Dole Office'.

Sub Editor/Music journalist- 'L:Scene' magazine, Liverpool, September '95- January '96.
Quilling on cutting edge arts magazine, tracking down exciting events to review such as The Liverpool Philharmonic renovations. Quickly promoted to Sub Editor; proofreading and sharing ideas at editorial meetings, and learning Quark XPress on the job all shows talent, aptitude and able to handle responsibility and designate assignments to other members of staff.

Art/literary style

Absurd, profound, ethereal, gothic, stylish, funny, acerbic, observant, quirky. Work to commission, sell prints/cards of work/poetry leaflets/books.
